Join us for two great evenings of outdoor dining and music to benefit the Escondido Public Library Endowment Foundation
Help raise money for the Escondido Public Library in support of library operations and a new library, and enjoy the summer evenings with great food and music and friends! The free concerts are made possible by generous support from the Friends of the Escondido Public Library. Reservations are not required, but early arrival is suggested to secure parking and seating.

July 1 - July 31 Food For Fines

Escondido Public Library (Main and Branch) will accept food donations in lieu of fines.
Here's how it works:

Donated items such as canned hams, powdered infant formula, and diapers count for up to $5.00 worth of fines for each item.
Nonperishable items such as canned vegetables, tuna fish and dried pasta count for up to $1.00 worth of fines for each item.

Up to $10.00 per Library card will be waived in exchange for donated food.

Items may be used to clear fines only; not for lost or damaged books or for City Attorney fees.

Non-nutritious items such as candy, chips, etc., damaged containers, and foods which have passed their expiration dates won't be accepted in lieu of fines.

5th Annual Book Extravaganza

North County Authors & Poets (NCAP) of San Diego will sign and sell books from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, July 25 in the Turrentine Room. Admission is free.

The Friends are having a BIG Half-Off Sidewalk Sale on July 11 from 10am - 3pm in front of the Main Library. Collectibles & Classics, Fiction - paperback & hardcover, non-fiction sorted by subject 100% donated, no buyer restrictions. Not picked over, mostly fresh inventory!
