California of the Past Digital Story Station

You are invited!

The Escondido Public Library Pioneer Room invites you to share your Escondido story on a Digital Story Station and become a part of  the California of the Past Program!

Come in and share your story with us!

All you need is

  • A story to tell - (personal memories past and present)
  • A CD with copyright free music to help reinforce the mood and message of your story.
  • Photos, if you have them, to illustrate your story. A flash card or removable disc is the easiest way to import photos.  We can also scan the photos and return them to you on the spot.

*If you don't have music, photos or video, you can still tell a story. Please call Helene Idels at 760-839-4315 if you have questions or you wish to sign up to record your digital story.

If you are interested in sharing your story or simply would like to know more about this project, call or drop in to the Pioneer Room located at 247 S. Kalmia Street next to the Escondido Public Main library (in downtown Escondido). The hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 1:00 to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 10:00 am–2:00 pm.

You get to keep the  DVD and the opportunity to share your story online with friends, family, historians, researchers and students.

California of the Past is funded by a grant from the California State Library.
