Year of the Learner

tutor and learnerYear of the Learner is our restructured literacy program that is leaner-focused and provides a path for learning that addresses the needs of all learners and reflects the diverse curriculum necessary to serve native English speakers and second language learners. The Escondido Public Library Literacy Services offers free, confidential tutoring to English-speaking adults (16 years or older) to improve their reading, writing, math, or basic computer skills. Adults request literacy services from many different walks of life. We work with the roles and goals of the adult in tailoring a program that will assist them in their life experiences:

We provide literacy services in four locations:

English As A Second Language (ESL)
