The Literacy department provides many wonderful services at our Library sites, but through our Outreach programs, we are also out in the community. Outreach staff drive our Bookmobile, provide in-services and trainings to organizations and social service agencies, assist in recruiting new Literacy volunteers and adult learners, staff booths at resource fairs, provide storytelling programs, and respond to many requests from the community. Please contact us for more information regarding Literacy Outreach at (760) 747-2233.

several Escondido women and children's shelter programs and brought
books to the children, storytelling times, as well as gave information
to the women about library and literacy services. Several of the women
have since become adult learners in our Literacy programs.
