23. Seminary: Escondido High School
/ Congregational Church (1888) / College Hill (1886): This was the lofty
site of the University of Southern California (USC) Seminary. After
five years the seminary closed and deeded the land to the Escondido
School District. The Congregational
Church, also on this site, moved in 1959 to the old High School
City campus on the old College Hill.
