27. Big Vineyard: After the 1884 flood,
the Escondido Land & Town Company purchased 100 acres for growing
Muscat grapes. For more than 60 years,
every September 9th visitors trotted caravans to the Big Vineyard on
Grape Day. Now suburban homes occupy the Big Vineyard site.
