Author Spotlight: Barbara Kingsolver
Barbara Kingsolver
was born in 1955 in Annapolis, Maryland, and grew up in rural Kentucky. She
counts among her most important early influences: the Bookmobile, a large family
vegetable garden, the surrounding fields and woods, and parents who were
tolerant of nature study (anything but snakes and mice could be kept in the
house), but intolerant of TV.

Genre of the Month:
If you are looking for books that have bite or a story that explores the furry side of life, than you might be looking for a little paranormal in your story. It’s that little something extra, like the main character hunts down bad vampires or werewolves are upstanding citizens that fight crime. Even if vampires and werewolves are not your thing, you can always pick up a good read about the battle between good fairies and bad fairies or how a soccer mom hunts demons in her spare time. No matter what side of the paranormal gets your reading senses tingling, check out one of these authors and you might never go back.
